Local photo journalism

tzfm201-21G week 6 local photo journalism
These images may seem simple local views but they are reporting a local news story that is dominating the news currently here. New Zealand has managed to keep the Covid 19 out of the country since a national strict lockdown at the beginning of the pandemic. This has meant apart form a few local lockdowns we have been essentially free from restrictions for the most part. Unfortunately Yesterday we a local case of the Delta variant was found. With this the whole country has gone to our strictest level of lockdown, initally for a few days but will reassess as more is found out. These photos are from my local shopping area - where nothing other than the supermarket and the pharmacy is open.
Image 1 Local supermarket with a well separated queue at the door - and masks on ( mandated form midnight tonight). People not identifiable and in New Zealand it is permissible to take photos of people in public places without permission.
Image 2  Looking into the local shopping area - taken at 3pm. This is normally packed with parents picking up children from the schools, parking is at a premium.
Image 3 Looking over a bridge into one of the main roads into Dunedin taken at 3pm when it would normally be very busy
Three normal looking images - that show a story when you are aware of the normal situation
